I own an AMD 64 processor and would like to know whether Vista will be 64 bit?
If it is, whether it support my earlier softwares like Norton 2005. It wasnt support with Windows XP x64. If it does not support, then will there be an option to install vista in 32-bit mode? Also, if I installed Vista beta edition and wanna uninstalling, will i have to format my vista containing drive??

Basically, my question was whether vista will support all my software like Norton and all. This was not the case with Windows XP x64. A GREAT organization like Microsoft is expected to solve compalibilty issues right?

512MB is the minimum requirement for Vista. As said already ..... 1GB of RAM would be ideal
![]() For software supports ... I am not sure if Norton 2005 will be 100% comatible with it, but later versions of Norton should be. Though I wish Norton should NEVER be comatible with Vista. It has been confirmed that NOD32 though it officially does not support Vista runs perfectly both in Vista 32 and 64bit Beta 2 ![]()

I think Norton 2005 will work on Vista. But usin Norton in Vista will be a stupid thing if you have 512mb ram coz Vista itself is a memory hog and u want to run another memory hog software . Use nod32 instead

But definately NOD is best solution out here.....
