As I get it, I know a way to do this without the generator, but it would be harder. He said he has numbers already cracked. Give us 14 examples WITH the original numbers that you put in, and the rest is like a puzzle. I guess someone could figure it out then, like what it does with the numbers. But decompiling it in a language like Java would be incredibly easy to read.

@TCO: You were sooo terribly off (I was laughing so hard, that I couldn't type...) when you started talking about CE (cheatengine...) HAHA.

@everyone now: If the file IS copyrighted, no one can find out that you decompiled it, UNLESS you recompile it, which is unnecessary, right?
To give an example of how baku said you aren't likely to get the original source code:
Lets say that this program was made in VC++. What if we decide to decompile it in Java 5? We obviously aren't going to end up with a bunch of VC++ in our decompile box or else we would be in a lot of trouble

So in my opinion, I think it's best to wait for jjaadd to give us the executable.

oh thnx tht was helpfull... and is there any tool to decompile exe... and i was searching for an install package editor... nvr found one and they told me tht iit is almost impossibe...
and as for CE it helps alot if the number editor shuffle numbers... just check the "unramdomize" box..

yeah, but were trying to crack how another executable DOES it. We already know what we get, and we don't really care about what Cheat Engine can tell us... it's just not what we're looking for

if none of them work, you can try the debug feature available in Visual Studio. Last time I tried it gave me a dump is assembly language.

if you want to edit MSI installers you can do them via Orca.

From just 14 Input-Output combinations, it is impossible to find the algorithm , at lest for a human. Btw. how many characters are there in the input numbers and outputs?

Most of the versions. It's the part of Windows Installer SDK.

yes, near impossible as Strider said. plus you need to consider, even if one finds a algorithm that generates those 14 numbers with given inputs, you will still need to verify the algorithm with other inputs. Plus there are some number generators (like session based cryptographic key generators) that generate different outputs with same input using the same algorithm. it's not easy to predict the algorithm with just such a small sample size even statistically.

Soooo.... just wait to get the executable? And from what I see, it generates 14 numbers for ever 1 number that you put in it... so yeah, I see how it would be kinda impossible for a human
