Hard drive is not detecting.

Hi all, I am Richard. I am here to get some troubleshooting ideas for my broken hard drive. Its a WD 2TB hard disk. From the past week onward when I connect it to the system, it detects for 1 or 2 seconds then it will get disconnected. I don't know what happened. I checked it with another cable still the same problem persists. Somebody who have knowledge in this, please help me to solve this issue. Lot of my important files are in it. At any cost I need to get those data. I have heard of companies like Storagepipe which provide data protection services in Canada. Should I take this hard drive to them. Or please tell me a possible solution. Thank you.
