i use ff as well as ie. need to test css in both

firefox: +++
tabbed browsing
extensions
full css2/3 support.
etc

ie: +++
fast
integrated in windows

firefox ---
slow - takes ages to load and slows down with a few tabs
big memory hog

ie --
no tabs

as for ie7, i stay away from beta products. comp tends to get slow cos of constant installation/uninstallation.

i keep ghost copies of my basic installation but even then recreating the whole system as i like it can be borring over and over every 3-4 months or so.

I like opera a lot. But some sites seems meesed up in Opera. Also some probelms with Gmail. But it's speed & caching is world's best.

Now i'm using Firefox a lot. It's really cool, fast and stable.

IE7 is also here. Despite of all MS's announcements it's more or less same as IE6 in my experience.

Opera, earlier versions did have lot of problems with Gmail since it employs the use of XMLHttpRequest, a non-standard protocol implemented in some web browsers, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari. However recent versions should have no problems with Gmail.

But still, OPera always had problems with Hotmail, Yahoo Mail, and gmail, and MSN (though in this case the fault was simply with MS using bad codes)
