Firefox is resource hungry, Opera needs a third party application to block the ad crap, i use both, depending on my mood mostly it's Firefox because it has tons of UserScripts and Extensions installed which make Life a lot easier than opera

Re: FireFox or Internet Explorer !

Opera does not need any third party extension to block advertisements.

I prefer Opera among the listed browsers but OmniWeb is the best, though it is only for Mac OS X.

Break your Misconception about Opera

1. Opera doesnot use third party application to block the ad crap ... Firefox may use third part extensions.

Re: FireFox or Internet Explorer !

(Pardon my Sarcasm folks) Softhunter, wouldn't it been better if you just redirected me to Opera.com so i can RE-READ everything you just copy pasted and satisfy myself. you CANT block Ads in Opera using the so called Content blocker, it's worthless, if you want to block ads in opera, you need to create a Custom Script or add some code in Opera.ini file. Firefox is far more customizable than Opera, regardless of Opera's features, Fx has some superb Extensions like GreaseMonkey and FoxyTunes, Opera is powerful and feature rich, but in the end, it looses out to Fx. not to say, i am against Opera or anything.

Ooops ... You are again wrong.

I quoted so may things from the site because probably you need to visit the site which you did not.

Opera Ad blocker is not crap ... and I also use firefox ... I am not aginst firefox also ... But I feel Opera Ad block and other security features have really worked for me ... saved me from spams and ads.

Hope you understand ... At last its just a matter of choice ...

Re: FireFox or Internet Explorer !

Opera is still the faster, it was the best when it was the only tabbed browser but it seemed to sit on its laurels and did not develop. Firefox became my browser of choice when it introduced tabs and skins and IE was reported to be leaking like a seive. The latest incarnation of Opera has the ability to handle BitTorrents built in which can be a very useful feature but not one to use all of the time. I am back with IE and have been since the introduction of the Beta versions of IE7.
