The BT Price List is changing..
As I know some of you archive the BT Price List independently - you may wish
to do so before Friday the 12th, as BT are planning on introducing a new version of the BT Price List then, which will cause existing bookmarks and references to change. The new price list will be based on XML technology and the new 'Cascade' system is designed to enable price data to be easily cascaded through BT's other systems and publications. The new Cascade system is also designed with web publication as its primary purpose and to provide a website which will be much easier to check including navigation bars and an A-Z index. Apparently BT decided that the current 'Prima' system (which was built using a desktop publishing app over ten years ago) was no longer appropriate for a BT price list which is almost 4,000 pages long and changed daily. Well that, and they had problems finding staff with the necessary skills.. ![]() Regards Sunil |

Alternatively they could poach suitable staff from 3 or NTL. > > Regards > Sunil > > |

Green Binder (then changed to two binders when it got too big) with yellow pages for internal Price Manual, and Blue Binder with White Pages for the one the public could inspect upon request. Also remember being criticised during an audit as I had made some 'unauthorised' notes in my copy to remind me which parts were needed on a switch. J |
