Public (BT) ones should, some privately owned ones such as those in pubs
etc. may not.

They should & do. However, the issue will be that DTMF is disabled, so
callback applications don't work.

callback where you can predefine both numbers won't have that problem

and does anyone know about foreign callboxes - I haven't noticed if an
incoming number is listed, as the last time I used one was about four
years ago, about €1 a minute to UK, before I knew much about callback
