I don't know why you need a geo number, if you are calling the number for business then simply claim for expenses. Peter |

I presume he gets calls to normal numbers free but has to pay for premium rate numbers. It is a lot of hassle claiming back the cost of calls and some calls get missed. I think if my employer had insisted on me calling a chargeable number then I would have either told them to issue me with a BT Charge Card, claim back each call individually or reverse the charges. All would have cost them more and if they had any sense then they would find a normal geographic number for me to call but I would not be surprised if the NHS just paid the higher costs from all that you read about the way it is run. Plus if his company is anything like the one I work for, you might just see your expenses back within a month or two, that's if you're lucky..! Ivor |

Re: geographic for 08454565790
Hi Peter
I get free calls to geographic number but not 0845 Only part-time worker for NHS believe not able to claim expenses, very disorganised so many different departments, lack communication and jobs worth etc. I have written a letter to administration office, but as before many not get a reply. Re: geographic for 08454565790
If you have no joy getting a geographic equivalent, other alternatives might be (if you have spare inclusive mins on your mobile): With most o2 contracts, 0845 comes out of inclusive mins. With most T-Mobile and Orange contracts, 07744 comes out of inclusive mins, so you could then dial 0845 using www.deltacall.co.uk. Regards Simon Clark Business Telecoms |

I would write to someone senior at the organisation and quote the alternatives with costs Claim the cost of every call individually Reverse charge calls Supply a BT (or other) charge card Get a normal telephone number Get a freephone number Supply a mobile phone though would be my last choice as I do not like using them unnecessarily.
