How can I Tell BT...

.... that the box housing the phone wiring to my house, and to my elderly
next-door neighbour is lidless and exposed to the elements?

The phone works fine, as does my broadband, so I doubt a significant
fault would be found on line testing. I don't want to spend hours on the
phone waiting, speaking to a clueless droid or going through a list of
futile electronic options.

I just want to send them a email, with a picture attached.

There is no urgency; the box has been like this for at least 18 months...

I may be wrong but I don't think you can send them an email with photo. Most
people report things such as broken manhole lids, open cabinets etc., etc.,
by phone to 150.

Thanks. I thought that was the case. I'm just allergic to phoning them.

It is silly IMO that I can't email them.

You can report faults via their website, they probably won't have a
category for "broken cover" though.

Post the pic on and then post back with the link so I
can see what sort of box it is?

Just about everything via the website entails line testing. AFAIK the
line is fine. The exposed spaghetti does its job.

Actually if you do go the 151 route & wait a bit after the first
selections are offered there is a option to report BT line plant where
you will talk to someone not overseas. The last few times I have used
I've found it to be quite quick & painless, unlike trying to report a
line fault....

Exposed spaghetti is getting more corroded & eventually will fail. 24
hour responce to faulty line plant & over 7 days for a line fault I
know which way I would jump...
