vonage.com uk rates

I have just been looking at the rates on

Don't worry, I have no intention of signing up.

Have a look at the UK offerings. There are two rates,
34c/min for cellular and premium else 4c/min
The 34c list makes no sense to me, doesn't the first
entry of "447" make most of the rest of this long badly
tabulated list irrelevant?

Not all 447 numbers are the same price? There's a "4470" entry
down below which is 30c/min.

I will agree with the OP to the extent that it is not entirely clear
what they mean. If they mean 4470 to be a default for all the 4470***
number ranges not specified then they really should say so.

My only other comment is that the rates are pretty cheap for quite a
lot of the personal number ranges, in some cases significantly less
than the tariff band would suggest. If you were going to do a lot of
calling through UK Personal numbers it would be a bit of a bargain.
Does anyone know what the call rates are for a UK Vonage account for
personal numbers?

I don't understand what you mean by "Don't worry, I have no intention
of signing up." I use Vonage and it is very good, I am very pleaed
with the service.

I take it you are looking at the US version of the Vonage site, that
is what users in the US get charged to ring using Vonage.

The rates from the UK are at
though I must admit it wasn't easy to find.

Two fold I suppose.
First I didn't want anyone to think I wanted to sign-up for a service
for which (AFAIK) you need a US address.
And second, yes, Vonage is a good product for those who need
a reliable works_out_of_the_box solution. By chosing my own
mix of incomming and outgoing suppliers and sourcing my own
hardware I get a much better deal than from suppliers like Vonage.

The only good thing Vonage did for me is subsidising the
cost of the "locked" PAP2 I got from Comet a year or so
ago, and promptly unlocked. Thank you Vonage!
