Simple overview of mobile tariffs
Does anyone know of a simple overview of the major mobile tariffs for
their call rates, especially for mobile to mobile calls. Somehow it seems that it should be easy to put this in a couple of tables (one for pre-pay, one for contract once your minutes are used) but I can't seem to find any simple information like this. -- Nic |

Unlike BT and the landline companies that have maybe 2 or 3 different packages, the networks have a tariff range, and then within that tariff range they have anything up to 10 even 20 sub sections, each sub section can have a different rate to another one. I know for a fact that on the lower line rental vodafone plans, for example the plan which is £25 gives you 150 mins 100 text on a 12 month contract, then outside this calls to vodafone are 18p a minute, calls to other networks are an amazing 40p per minute! Go up to the £35 a month tariff you get 500 mins and 500 text, outside this calls to vodafone are only 10p and then cross network are 35p. I beleive that all the networks are the same, if you're going to put a table together, it's certainly not going to be simple I'm afraid, I find the best way to get the information is to go through the online stores and select other charges or charges outside allowance. Good luck! |

I agree. Not simple at all. O2, for example has 'on-line' as well as 'High Street' tariffs. You just have to plough through them all on the respective web sites. For low use PAYG then T-Mobile's 12p/min to all networks, at all times, isn't bad. Remove 'no_spam_' from email address. |

I agree that it's hard to find out how much the networks actually charge. Seems most mobile websites seem to provide more information about what's happening on Coronation Street than anything actually related to mobile phones. |
