Cheapest way to ring a mobile from a landline??

What's currently the cheapest standard non-subscribing way to ring a
mobile from a BT landline during the week? According to niftylist or
moneysavingexpert, the best I can find is 6p/min (inc VAT) with Discount
Dial, 0844 calls or Phone Cheap (seems to be the same peak or off-peak).
TIA
Allan

If I expect the call to last much more than a minute I ask them to ring back.
That saves *lots* ! ;~)

Depends what you call subscribing.
Cheapest I know is 18185 but you do have to 'sign up' for that...but
no charge if oyu don't use it so no disadvantage.

If you don't want to do that then you have:-
DiscountDial 6p/min
(08717544141)
PhoneCheap 6p/min
(08717544242)
0844calls 6p/min
(08717549090)

Ring the number and hang up before someone answers. If they return the
call (assuming your phone line sends its number) to find out who rang
them, it costs you zilch. If they question it, tell them it cut out. See
how long it takes each friend to figure out you're a cheapskate ;-)

Many won't care anyway - as they've signed up to some daft contract with more
inclusive minutes than they ever use, so the callback will be "free" anyway!
