There have been lots of days (including today) when I get home and
have 2 or 3 missed calls on my landline (so nothing to do with bad
reception) from 01422284250. I suspect it's just one of those systems
where it dials automatically but if no operator (i.e. person trying to
sell you something or get you to take a survey) is available when you
answer it then it just hangs up.

It's just slightly disturbing when you see that you keep getting calls
from the same number for a period of weeks and you don't know who's
calling.

Well folks the answer is this... The number belongs to SWINTON
INSURANCE
