panasonic kxtg7120-7220 differences

Wonder if someone with a knowledge of these dect phones can help?

I am giving up on the diverse system and planning to get one of the
panasonic dect phones.

Browsing the net, I cannot find the difference in specification between
the kxtg7120 and 7220. All I can read about is how exciting the display
looks and the wonderful appearances of the different models.

Looking for a quad pack or perhaps 5 handsets. They need to be reliable
and long lasting and stand up to lots of use as they will be used in a
small business.

If possible, standard batteries would be good so as not to be having to
buy special packs when replacing.

Would also be good to nominate certain handsets to ring on incomming
call and perhaps transfer to another on no reply.

Not interested in hundreds of ring tones or sms.

A couple of one touch dial numbers would be useful.

This sort of facility seems not to get mentioned in the product
information.

Thanks for any recommendations or suggestions of sites where this kind
of information is available.

"Panasonic KX-TG7220 replaces the hugely popular KX-TG7120.
The new model has a smaller, neater base unit and a better
finish to the handset, with a higher tactile quality."

Most use AA or AAA.

Priority ring is a feature of (some, not current) Diverse
models, but I haven't seen it on Panasonic. You may need to
go to a PBX for that.

DECT handsets don't often come with extra speed-dial buttons
- you're expected to use the directory. Some models have
one-touch using the keypad buttons: the 7120 doesn't appear
to be one of them, but better-spec Panasonics do have it.

The only way to do a detailed spec comparison with your
requirements is to get a rough match then download the user
guides.

The Panasonic kxtg7120 and 7220 are considered by one review to be
medium function phones. I would agree.

The new model seems at first sight to be very similar to the old. If
the old is being discounted as end-of-line then I would go for those.

Handsets are bulky and you can't easily dial by pressing the buttons
while the handset is on a desk. OTOH speaker in handset is very
good. Battery life is good (several days normal use). Handsfree mic
is sensitive.

Not cheap but basic and do the job very well.
