Problem with line going blank
Hi
At home I have a Panasonic DECT phone, when I call the house using my mobile ocassionally (maybe about once a fortnight) there are sporadic intervals of about 10 seconds when I can hear absolutely nothing from the other end and the conversation stops mid word. This especially seems to happen when I call around 5:30-6 and much less so when I phone in the morning. I'm calling from the middle of Belfast using Orange and at home the line is provided by BT and shared with a broadband/WiFi router with an ADSL filter on the line. I also noticed the problem before we moved house in September but tended to think that it was the house phone that was the problem. I contacted the makers of the phone and they are 99% certain it's an issue with the mobile network in the area I'm calling from (which might explain why it is more in the evenings). Any particular views on what the cause might be here? thanks Craig |
