That is my question. When the iPod was first plugged in iTunes did
not want to move anything to my iPod until I started a playlist (in my
case I called it-- in a fit of pure genius-- "My iPod". I did not know
if that was some kind of master playlist or if it was just the first
one. From this reply, I shall assume it is the first one and indepedent
of what I do with the other ones.
