Two Ipods - One Computer - What to Do?

Here is the situation - there is one person in the household with an
iPod. iToons
is installed on the main household computer. Another person will be getting
an
iPod Touch for Christmas. We want to use the main computer for the iPod
Touch
as well.

So, what is the easiest way for two people with different iPods to buy
and
download music/video and only transfer songs they want to their iPod? I
would like
to have it so if one buys a song the other iPod can transfer it if they like
the song.
But how do I keep all the songs on the first iPod from being automatically
transferred
to the second one?
