this is a nice trick tht u can use if u have some files to hide from someone really smart:
if the folder u wanna hide was "hide me" in C:\hide me then open notpad and write Code:
ren hide me hide me.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}
now open notpad again and write Code:
ren hide me.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D} hide me
now you have 2 batch files the loc.bat will hide the folder, the key.bat will do just the opposite enjoy

Re: Make a folder dissapear even from ctrl+A
any tricks like that,can make a folder invisible from our vision only.BUT NOT FROM COMMAND-PROMPT.U CAN OPEN IT.THEN,GO TO CORRESPONDING DRIVE & THEN TYPE hide me.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}
AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS...IT JUST WILL MAKE VISIBLE THE ORIGINAL CONTENTS OF hide me.So,it is of no use,from the point of view of cmd-prompt.POST SOME THING EVEN SMART,WHICH CAN ALSO HIDE ITS INNER ORIGINAL MATERIALS FROM THE EYES OF COMMAND-PROMPT....perfecthacker!

Re: Make a folder dissapear even from ctrl+A
I would have to agree with PerfectHacker on this one. Any security policy can be bypassed given the knowlege and skills of a person.
This could be very usefull and can be fun to play with. Its worth keeping in mind however that not all defrag tools hook the kernal and may not see this folder. That could result in a file system coruption so I would recomend backing up the contents. I think that the term "idiot" is a little strong. Would be interesting to see is this would work by distributing registry keys via groop policy ![]()
