I checked my speed and it showed that i am having a slow connection of 11Kilobytes/second.
i am on sify with 128 kilobits/second connection. thnx for ur link sree.

I am using BSNL broadband [Dataone] Speed 256 kbps, Plan - 500 home...

Maybe the line was busy or the server was down temporarily from BSNL. Also do a recheck/re-test cause sometimes these test results may be in accurate.

There are also many other sites from where you can do a speed test :

You can also check in the browser how much time it takes to laod a web page : http://www.numion.com/stopwatch/

It just says the details of your test. Btw .. I think it's detecting too high a download speed. ... 81KBps

However it doesn't say in terms of bandwidth. try this test rather : http://www.testmy.net/tools/test/d_load.php
