WindowBlinds Theme for Windows XP ---> Windows Vista look

There are many such Vista skins for XP available. However these are some of the coolest ones I have found :::

IMO, Milork's theme's are the best !!! These Russian guys really know their job !!

Excellent .. its almost Vista out there with WindowBlinds .. but there are still a few shortcomings which doesn't make it exactly like Vista (look-wise) :
>The Black sidebar containing the clock doesn't fuse with the wallpaper , its distinct ...
>You can't choose the gradient of tranparency . Like whether ti'll be "smoked glass" or a plain one alongwith its intensity.

But still WindowBlinds is the best when it comes to skinning XP ... i liked this one the most :

This is a Vista Pack, rather than a skin/theme.

Off topic, but I found a nice video tutorial to get a glassy effect.

Specifically a layer-style that looks glassy but more importantly looks as if it is refracting light.

I'll try to find one with Aero effect for msstyles. However those that are using WB and are looking for something more glassy (not like Vista) have a look at my current screenshots :

Skin : Inspiration in Glass Theme.
http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/36478384/

(Wallpaper is not included with the skin -- Wallpaper comes from the Arrow skin)

Start Menu

Notice the glossy effect added by the skin for my default firefox skin. Also the semi-transparent (partly transparent) paint pull down menu.

Now this is what u do when u can't install Vista on ur Hdd ??? Well .. had this collection for a long time now ...

Only warning to all .. the start menu button don't work fine .. particularly the place where u see the "shut down" and "log off button" ... u'll see what i mean once u install those skins ...

Also .. u can try the Vista Transformation Pack 4.0 .. i think thats the best by far till now ...

Also ... all that i've tried till now can't really produce the awesome effect Vista brings out .. the fading .. maximizing , minimizing etc. etc. ... i personally was at a time obsessed with the fact that WinXP should easily be able to cope with Vista visually ... well till now we've not had a good success rate .. . another big problem is that XP doesn't support large icons ... i mean 256*256 min. . and higher .. lol ... that vector desktop thingy along with the hardware integration is really doing magic ... really waiting for better drivers ....

Infact the best Vista look-a-like skins by Kol has already been removed by Microsoft .. so u guys can't really expect much from these ... though its partly illegal (legal as long as MS is not aware) .. if anyone need the Kol WB5 VistaXP skin .. do PM me ...

Right now i'm back to good'ole XP .. with Royale skin .. and a custom Vista like IP .... doesn't look that bad ..

Well .. u really can't do that .... coz XP uses bitmap imaging .... and since bmp can't have a alpha transparency layer ... u can't really do it without additional software .... alternatively u can use effects light glow , gloss etc. etc. coz those can be integrated via layers ... if u ever used Resource Hacker , and id u can find the exact location of the taskbar bitmanp .. then u can see the exact image used ... and a simple replacement can make a new theme ...

You need a patch to fix it. Millork's versions do include the patch, it's in russian, but with a litlle bit of guess I finally patched and fixed it.

I did install Vista, but the beta RAID drivers are not at all stable. Half the time my raid array was not detected. So finally un-installed it. So i am not resposible for the beta drivers ..

Long time ??? HOW ??????
The skins were released in this sequence : July 19, Jun 6, Jun 23, July 4, July 12, July 17, July 17.

So except 2 skins that are a month old, all are recent skins.
