Personally, I prefer Windows Explorer's builtin support for .zip files. I like how it doesn't really change the look and feel of browsing files.

Unfortunately, it doesn't support .rar files, so WinRAR always gets installed eventually.

Now, if they switched the GUI to resemble Windows Explorer, THEN it'd be the best ever.

Thanks for Telling that how to set password in Rar File...and I have been using rar software for many years...and I find this is best software to extract file... But I found one another thing that...the file shows less MB or GB without password of its original MB or GB and If you set password so it shows same MB or GB.

You can also protect the file with password in 7z.... 7z can also extract the .rar files....

WinRAR is not freeware. Best to use 7 ZIP. Also, it has more options for compression and is simple (one screen).
