conversion! - How to make my MB size pictures into KB size ?

Is it possible to make my MB size pictures into KB size or vice versa and upload it???? Actually some sites do not allow larger or smaller size pictures to be uploaded.

You can resize the images using the Batch Conversion Tool in Irfanview. Set the Quality to 80% after choosing the format as JPG. Also you may set the resolution to 800*600 from the advanced options.

do you have photoshop ??
Open the pic in it .. select "Image Size" from the Image tab (or press Alt-Ctrl-I).. reduce quality to small , and change the resolution if you want the picture to be even more smaller in size .. save as "bicubic"

Download Microsoft Image Resizer Power Toy ...

Click Here

Install it by double clicking.

Then you can resize any image by right clicking and selecting new size.

Mainly used for making smaller images.

pictures in MB ?? PNG or BMP ?? just simple conversion to JPE/JPEG should reduce the size to around 500 KB ..

There's no need for special software if you have Office XP/03. Microsoft Office has Microsoft Office Picture Manager. It's really simple to use and gives you a few options on file sizes.

Just open it, look for your file and click the "edit pictures..." button to resize or compress your photos. You can do 1 or a group at a time within the same folder.

U r talking about BMP or PNG file??
If u r talking about that, then you have to convert in into JPG
by simple method....
Start Paint..
Open tht Pic.
Save as
Format JPG....
Done

SO probably those images will be in BMP So ty using XN VIEW they are very simple to use and u can convert those MB files in KB easily by changing their format so Check out this thread for more info on Xn Views

For BMP images just open with paint and save as jpeg. This will reduce the size with hardly any visible quality loss. For jpeg images you may resize the image to reduce the size.

KB to MB ?? hmm ... there's won't be any increase in quality, so once you compress it there's no way to revert back to the original pic quality.
