Pre Paid phone
Looking to get a prepaid phone for the wife to use for
about 3 weeks while she is visiting kids. Need it by next weekend so I looked in Wally world. They have Tracfone, Net10, ATT go, and Verizon Impulse. I was leaning toward Verizon but it looks like they they have an activation fee that would make the phone a lot more expensive than the Tracfone.. Anyone got an opinion or any experience with any of these? TIA -- Jim |

You can get a VM phone in a number of major appliance stores and general goods stores such as Best Buy, Circuit City, Target, etc. Cheapos run $14 to $20 each. Take it home and go on line or call their 800 number to pre-pay and activate. Charge it up a couple of hours first of course. You can get a plan for x minutes block or by the minute. Recharge on line or using 800 number. Boost Mobile works well as well. Virgin uses the Sprint network so where ever Sprint is covered you will have service. |
