Unable to get decent results for video conversion on Zune

I just purchased IMTOO video converter. I have not been able to get good results with the converter so far. My source files are all mpgs (initially came from Tivo and converted from Tivo to mpg). The mpgs play fine and look good on my PC. When I use IMTOO to convert to WMV, the video looks fine but the audio and video are out of sync. I have read various posts about others having the same problem so I tried adding using directshow, different frame rates, slower bitrates but always the video and audio are out of sync. I have a Core 2 Quad clocked at 3.0GHz so I don't think it is a PC performance issue.

I then tried using mp4. Most of the times when I run it I only get audio in the output file. No video. Every once in a while I get both audio and video and they are in sync but the video is very tall in narrow. When played on the Zune it is worse because it is a wide screen but the video only uses about 20-25% of the width. The proportions are way off.

I have tried with different settings but like I said, most of the time it doesn't give me any video.

This is very frustrating as I paid for the tool and it isn't working for me.

Any ideas for me to try?

Thanks

Re: Unable to get decent results for video conversion on Zune

Please modify "Frame Rate" on the right panel of the main interface. The default setting of this item is "Auto". Please enter a concrete value for it to have a try. I think you can try following values: 15, 23, 29.97,50 and 60. Generally, one of them will work. Please highlight the item/file which you want to convert by our program before modifying anything.
If these values do not work, please try some other values which seem to be closer. If the audio is a bit earlier than the video, you need to adjust the frame rate to higher value to speed up the video; if the video is a bit earlier than the audio, please set the frame rate to smaller value to have a try.
