Embedded Audio Output?

After converting an MPEG file to AVI with the AVI MPEG converter program, the audio doesn't appears in Windows Movie Maker although it plays OK with each clip. Does anyone know how to get the audio separated out in the conversion process?

Try Saving your movie file as a DV-AVI NTSC file..
If you have any bit rate probem, then this could identify that.
