Overview of Administrative Tools in Windows 7 Administrative Tools contains tools for system administrators and advanced users. The tools in the folder might vary depending on which version of Windows you are using. Some common administrative tools in this folder include:
Note: This article does't include the detailed configurations of all the Administrative Tools. For Administrative tools: 1. Click the Start and then choose the Control Panel option. ![]() 2. The Control Panel window opens up. ![]() 3. Click to open Administrative Tools. In the left pane you can see Favorites, Libraries, Computer and Network options. ![]() 4. Libraries: Windows has some common folders that you can use to store most of your files. Libraries feature can be used to access these folders. ![]()
5. From the Computer folder, you can access locations such as hard disk drives, CD or DVD drives, removable media, and shared folders that are connected to your computer. You can also access other devices that might be connected to your computer, such as external hard disks, USB flash drives, and digital cameras. ![]() A common reason to open the Computer folder is to view the available space on your hard disks and removable media. 6. The Network folder provides access to the computers and devices on your network. From here, you can see the contents of network computers and find shared files and folders. You can also view and install network devices, such as printers. ![]() Click to Change to view Network computers and devices.
