Managing User Accounts in Windows 7 User Accounts allows you to Customize user accounts. You can:
Let's see how you can manage user accounts on your system: 1. Click the Start and then choose the Control Panel option. ![]() 2. Control Panel window opens up. Click User Accounts. ![]() 3. The User Accounts window opens up showing the default window account (Admin). This is the account which is created when you install Window 7. It has all the Administrative Privileges. ![]() 4. Click Change your password, if you want to change your current password. ![]() You have to provide your Current Password, New Password and Confirm Password. Click Change Password to save the changes. 5. Click Remove your password if you don't want to protect your account with password. ![]() Type your current password and click Remove Password. 6. Click Change your picture to change your account picture. Choose the Picture or Browse for more pictures and click Change Picture ![]() 7. Click Change your name to change your current account name. ![]() Type New Account Name and click Change Name. 8. Click Manage another accounts to mange other accounts on your computer. ![]() Click on Account Child, click Delete. ![]() If you want to keep child's files then click Keep Files. Click Delete Files to remove them from the computer. ![]() Finally, click Delete Account. 9. Click Create a password reset disk in the Left pane of the User Accounts window. In case if you forget the password for this user account, you can use this disk to create a new password. ![]() Click Next. ![]() Choose the drive and click Next. ![]() Type Current Password and click Next then Finish. |
