sounds missing/stutteting in some games
Hi, i decided to test Windows 7, though i came across a problem, for example speech is missing in oblivion as well as EVE Online is missing UI sounds, i think this is a directsound issue though i dont know how to fix it

Re: sounds missing/stutteting in some games
More often than not, stuttering or missing sound in games is caused by a misconfiguration in the game itself, and has nothing to do with a misconfiguration in DirectX or your computer.
Does the sound stutter outside of Games? For example, how well do music and videos playback? Looking at your DirectX Diagnostics, it says you only have 1024 MB of RAM while Windows 7 will run fine under this setup, it's possible that Windows 7 + your games will not. It could be that your computer is running out of memory while playing these games. To fix, you should run the games configuration and reduce it's sound and video quality settings. I had this problem in Need for Speed: Most Wanted and reducing the Video Quality of the game itself fixed it. Another possible solution is to set your games to run in Windows 7 Basic mode, which will temporarily switch your computer's theme to Windows 7 Basic while you're playing the game.

i know but this seems its a library it cant access. XP also requires 1024 mb ram and it ran fine there, UI sounds in eve was not missing, speech was not missing in oblivion at XP..
the sound never stutters outside the games that the sound is missing or stuttering, i can run 1080p HD movies without missing sound and stuttering. |

XP does not require 1024 MB of RAM to run.
It's more than likely a game configuration then, if sound works fine outside of the games. Try reducing the video quality and sound quality little by little until it stops. If it was a missing library, the game either A) wouldn't run at all, or B) Pops up an error message everytime it tried to access that library.
