This is very interesting thing in the windows 7 that we may use the god mode in it. Here is a step by step process for the users:-
1. Create a new folder. 2. Rename it with the following GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} 3. Double click on it and enjoy. With this folder you can access over 270 hidden feature of win7. Also works for vista 32 bit.(Warning: Don't use in vista 64 bit or u''ll lose ur windows.) Re: How to Enable God mode in Windows 7
Thanks for posting this sheva. I was planning to publish it here, then forgot about it.
A few additions: 1. You can use virtually any text instead of GodMode. The key point is the class ID {ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}. 2. Microsoft commented on this via an unofficial blog post by Brandon Paddock. Quote:

Re: How to Enable God mode in Windows 7
I saw this trick on cnet.com and thought it was interesting, but I don't see how it's any more useful than the actual Control Panel, just as Brandon Paddock said, "as the normal Control Panel folder (accessible via Start -> Control Panel) contains all the same items but with a custom view designed to be easier to navigate".
It's still a nice thing to have on the desktop if you want to browse the big features in the computer. I like it! |
