Question HELP! need free alternative to Teamviewer (easiest to use)

I've tried RealVNC, UltraVNC, hamachi, logmein.
Nothing quite matches teamviewer ease of use (i got a lot of n00b clients)

Re: HELP! need free alternative to Teamviewer (easiest to use)

No doubt, Teamviewer is the easiest one to use, at least AFAIK.

And why exactly do you need an alternative? TeamViewer is free and there is nothing that can beat it.

Re: HELP! need free alternative to Teamviewer (easiest to use)

For instant access to a client's computer, you don't have many free options. In fact, TeamViewer is not one of them. It requires that you purchase a license for commercial use.

Most tech support corporations pay big bucks for custom remote assistance software, or they develop their own.

Why would you want to replace TeamViewer? Simple: its protocol downright stinks. It's slow, it's slow, and did I mention that it's slow? RDP, when configured properly, tends to be the fastest, with VNC following close behind.

One option could be to configure your own VPN or similar "dial-in" system, then find a VNC client that allows you to configure it on your end, then distribute the client preconfigured to clients.

I can recommend you a good application for remote control, but it's not free: Radmin

Learn central is a free 3 user v room. Designed for online learning but has a share desktop feature that you can take control of.it is a bit convoluted initially so not ideal if you do a lot of little jobs. I Use for family, friends and sometimes even work when the need arises and vnc won't work. i will try to dig up a link tomorrow

RHUB is another tool for remote access. Just like Teamviewer, it comes in a one time payment but unlike Teamviewer where you have to setup a separate server, RHUB (Web Conferencing, Remote Support Software - RHUB Appliances) is appliance and hence can be used out of the box.

The "impcremote instant" is free and it can be used without any limitation (also for companies). Link removed.
