Strange gray icon on my desktop!!!
Hello...
Can anybody help me with this strange gray icon thats stuck on my desktop... I can't left click / right click on it...so can't really know which app is loading it or even its name in order to remove it.... I have attached its image.... Need help removing it... |

I do believe that is the HP ProtectTools widget. Now just hope your computer is actually HP.
 Anyways, go to Start>Run>msconfig>"Startup" tab, and you should be able to disable it from there. Alternatively go to Control Panel>Programs and Features>find the app and uninstall it completely.

Ya it is HP Compaq 8200 Elite...I will try to find that app and remove it...Thanks..
