hi friends!

I have a problem with win XP plz solve it
when I double click the hard disk drive OPEN WITH message apper

First of all try this:

1. Click Start > Run

2. Type in

regsvr32 /i shell32.dll

3. Press Enter and click ok if asked.

hi friend!
this is not a proper solution of my problem.
plz suggest another solution for this problem

first, run sfc /scannow to replace any corrupted OS files. you will need your OS cd to do this. Insert your XP CD, and then from Start -> Run type sfc /scannow

If that still does not fix, try running in safe mode. does the problem happen there? if the problem does not happen in safe mode, then it's possible that you have some processes running in normal mode that are causing your problem

Otherwise, if you know from when the problem started happening, try going back to a Restore Point that is just before when the problem started happening.

Also what anti virus do you use ? have you updated your anti virus utility and run a scan ?
