Outlook 2007 won't remember my password for POP3 mail

This weekend I took part in the annual tradition of formatting my computer. Everything is back to normal except Outlook. Before the format I had 2 POP3 accounts (Yahoo and Earthlink) linked to Outlook and everything was working fine. I put my passwords in only once, when I set up outlook 2007 after I installed it the first time, and never had to put them in again. However, this time it asks me for my password every time that I hit send/receive and its not even sending or receiving. I set it up exactly how it was before I formatted and I'm not running any additional software. I am using the same .pst files as before the format. I tried setting up a new e-mail account with a new .pst and I was having the same issue. The rest of Office 2007 is fine. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

If it's not working give a try to the following method :

Browse to;
Make a backup of this folder while all other programs are closed and then delete that folder. See if your passwords are remembered now. You might need to enter them a single time when you you start Outlook for the first time after this.
