Partition table error with BDD2007
I want to deploy WinXP through BDD2007 and WDS. Everything works fine beside
the fact if I want to use PartitionMagic8 (sometimes I have to resize a partiton afterwards), it tells me always that there is a partiton table error and I can not do anything. There is no difference if I change ztidiskpart.txt so that the inital partition just takes a part of the HDD. By the way, PartitionMagic8 works perfectly after installing directly from the WinXP CD. Any idea? |

Re: Partition table error with BDD2007
Did you ever get a fix for this issue?
I have the same issue. I have a laptop built from WDS/BDD2007 and I need to change the partition size of the C drive, but running partition magic 8 gives an error "Init Failed: Error 117. Partitions drive letter cannot be identified" When I run PartIn to get the partition Information, I get the following error "Disk errors were detected on this drive. See the errors list for more information" Then in the logs I get numerous errors all basically saying that the partitions overlap. Error numbers are 113, 105, 106, 109. Looking on the symantec website, these are all related to the start and end points of the partition, and the only solution Symantec suggest is formatting the disk and starting again - not a whole lot of help. I would appreciate it if anyone has found a solution to this issue. ![]() |
