Auto Logon failed
I have a task sequence that is installing a custom winXP image; however when
I image a machine it will not auto logon. Once I manually login then the sequence continues with no errors. I have checked the sysprep.inf and unattend.txt files to ensure that the autologon entries are set up with the correct password with the right number of times [GuiUnattended] AutoLogon="Yes" AutoLogonCount=999 AdminPassword="**SENSITIVE DATA***" any ideas? |

Re: Auto Logon failed
Under GuiUnattended, do you have an item that encrypts the admin password? You will need to remove that item.

Do you save the Administrator password in encrypted form using Setup Manager? You might try running Setup Manager again against your sysprep.inf file to make sure the encrypted password is correct. -- David Stardate 8446.3 |

Re: Auto Logon failed
Check to see if there is a minint there from the previous deployment. If you
are deploying an image that still has the minint folder, and you happened to change the password since, it sometimes gives you problems. At least that happened for me.
