ACT 5 Event ID 1008
I am a problem running the data collector. The collector installs then
several errors are received (starting with Event ID 1008 - [collect.exe] Failed to parse the command line arguments. Failed to get a path to the user's temp directory). After several more errors the collector is uninstalled. I saw in an FAQ that if this error occurs, ensure the DCP has Read and Write access to the %tmp% and %temp% directories. What does DCP use (System?). If so System has full access to these locations. Any other ideas or suggestions? |

Re: ACT 5 Event ID 1008
Some processes run as LOCAL SERVICE and NETWORK SERVICE. Make sure that
these accounts also have write access to those directories. Let me know how it goes.
