Windows Updates on MDT 2008 Vista Images

Hello,

I am running MDT 2008 on Server 2008 64 Bit. I have created my packages and
applications and everything ionstalls ok. However i do not want windows
updates to be applied after vista has installed. In task sequences under
state restore i have disabled Windowes Updates bost pre and post application
install. This does not seem to work though. I have also added to
customsettings.ini the following line WSUSServer=http://mywsusservername. I
have purposely left it without my wsus server name in tyhe hope that it will
just fail. However nothing seems to stop updates from being applied after
vista has installed.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Re: Windows Updates on MDT 2008 Vista Images

Ive actually found the solution from an excellent blog -

In the unattend file for the task i have ammended the line -

<ProtectYourPC>3</ProtectYourPC>

This was previously set to 1. It now works exactly as i want it.
