Can't parse Unattend.xml in Specialize pass
I'm using Microsoft Deployment Toolkit 2008 and Windows Deployment
Services. I create a distribution point using Windows Vista as the operating system and use a more or less unaltered standard client task sequence. I add the Lite Touch wim this created to WDS. I boot a computer to WDS and start the Lite Touch WinPE. This lets me select the task sequence and install Windows, capturing the resulting installation. Then I add the captured image as an installation image to WDS. So far so good. When a machine PXE-boots to WDS and runs setup, selecting the captured image to install, it copies the files and reboots after a while, then stops with this error message: Windows could not parse or process unattend answer file [C:\Windows\Panther\unattend.xml] for pass [specialize]. It will not continue; the machine reboots, then returns to this error message. What am I doing wrong? (And, if necessary, which answer files do you want me to post for analysis?) -- David Stardate 8484.0 |
