VM network driver for WinPE in MDT2008

Can anyone help with this please? I need to create a .wim file out of an XP
VM I have and am having issues. I am trying to boot my XP VM up with a PE
disk I've created using MDT, and it just sits there in the DOS screen with
the text....

x:\windows\system32>wpeutil InitializeNetwork
x:\windows\system32>wpeinit
x:\windows\system32>

I have gone into another XP VM of mine that connects to the network just
fine, looked at the PnP ID for the network driver, gotten the .inf and .sys
files, placed them into the Out-Of-Box driver section in Deployment
Workbench, updated the Deployment Point to create the new .iso, and all I get
is the text above when using that .iso to boot up the VM. In the Deployment
Workbench I made sure that the VM Network drivers were added to a group and
that group was added to the WinPE tab in my deployment point.
I take the same .iso, create a cd out of it and can bring a physical laptop
up fine to select a task sequence. When I use the .iso on my VM, which is
what I want to create a .wim file out of, all I get is the text above in a
DOS window.

If anyone has any ideas why this would be happening, please let me know. I
would really appreciate any help that could be offered.

How much memory does the system have? It must have more than 256mb.
