Just switch Start Menu to 'CLASSIC" mode and don't bother with Vista/XP
style of Start menu.
The reason Microsoft changed Classic mode is because one of their software
engineers was looking to create artificial work assignment to keep his job.

Vista/XP stayle of Start menu is very stupid.
Switch to Classic.
Also switch taskbar to Classic.
You will be thankful to me after 1 day.
