Missing SBERET.MSI FILE - Excel 2002

I'm not sure if I am posting this in the correct area or not, but here goes...

I have Office XP installed on my machine and was successfully running all
components (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) until today, when I tried to intiate
Excel. Now, whenever I try to start Excel, Windows Installer starts and looks
for set up files that are suddenly missing and needed. And, unfortunately, I
can't find the original CD ROM the installer requires. So, I cannot access
any of my many Excel files.

I did some further research and from what I can tell, Installer is looking
for the SBERET.MSI file, which I cannot locate anywhere on my hard drive.

Any ideas as to how I can fix and correct this issue would be greatly
appreciated.

Thank you,
Mark DiRollo

The best solution is to find the Office CD-ROM and reapir the installation.
Alternativly try to launch the Excel exe file from MS office installation
folder.

Re: Missing SBERET.MSI FILE - Excel 2002

Thanks, but unfortunately I don't have the CD-ROM. I've also tried opening
Excel.exe from the MS office installation folder, but this didn't work either.

Thanks for your input,
Mark
