Windows Media Player 11 crashes when Vista boots.
Every time the Computer Starts I get the error:

That is how I know that it must have something to do with display drivers. |

RE: Windows Media Player 11 crashes when Vista boots.
i am running into the very same issue. "Windows Media Player Network Sharing
Service has stopped working" stopped working after trying to install NetFlix Viewer. the viewer never worked (IE crash) but worse, ever since i am unable to to share media from my PC. Anyone found a solution to this issue? Resetting the DRM store-- should likely fix you up. -- Speaking for myself only. See for some helpful WMP info. Re: Windows Media Player 11 crashes when Vista boots.
This is to confirm that Zachd solution did the trick.
I had two priorities to fix: 1) the most important one was to ensure Media Player sharing stop crashing as I am using Media Center with my Xbox and with netflix or without it, i want them to work. 2) see if I can get Netflix viewer to work. Zachd solution definitely solve problem one. I had to run the command line few times and I think it finally worked about running the DRM clear utility Netflix provides as part of the utility (you may need to run as an Administrator to be successful) and then running the command line. Note: do not expect any UI indication to tell you if the operation was a success or not. Same solution potentially solved the Netflix issue however you should be aware that Netflix have some restrictions on the usage of their viewer with a DVI or HDMI cable beyond certain screen resolution. After more trial and error and after switching to a VGA cable, I finally had everything working. Note: I really didn’t like how the picture looked in VGA so I moved back to DVI which means Netflix still doesn’t work on my machine but at least I am no longer broken. Hopefully this post will help future readers. And finally … thank you Zachd for posting the solution.
