B: Did you turn off "Save File History"? You need to do that so WMP remembers what track you were on. Otherwise - you told it to forget what you were doing. =) I did this again just now - played a track until midway through the track, shut down the player, restarted it, pressed play and that last track was playing again. =) -- Speaking for myself only. See for some helpful WMP info. I did have "Save file and URL history in the Player" turned off; now it's on. Now, if I do NOT sort on any of the columns, whatever song I was playing when I shut down starts playing again when I restart and press Play. That's good. However, I had sorted by the Date Added column (because I wanted to play the songs I had most recently added), and when I shut down and restarted, it was on the wrong song. Seems it didn't remember the sort sequence, so ended up with a "random" song. Is there a way to make it remember how it was last sorted (I have Library, Songs selected)? Thanks. p .. ** Posted from ** |

Sorts don't save - but if you had built a playlist, you could use that. -- Speaking for myself only. See for some helpful WMP info. At least, after you set it up, it remembers where it last was when you press Play upon startup. Still wish it would auto-position the Listview so you could actually see which song it was playing (I still have to manually scroll down), but at least it's playing the right song. I also wish I could specify a specific date to filter the "Date Added" column on (i.e. "Is After Feb 11, 2006"), but it only gives a few pre-defined time extents. Or is there a way to do that? Anyway, I appreciate all of your help. You've been very responsive. p .. ** Posted from ** |
