MP4 to WMV File Conversion Messes Up Royally; Mark In/Out Fails
I'm trying to convert an MP4 file to WMV. I captured the MP4 file from a VCR
using a Neuros OSD. Initially, tried encoding the file twice. The first time, the process ended after the first pass with three "unexpected audio codec" errors logged. The second time, the same thing happened, but with only two errors logged. I then tried encoding the file without audio (which I didn't need anyway - it was just elevator music added to old converted home movies). The process completed without error, but the output file only contained the dead space (blue screen) that was at the end of the originally captured file. I then attempted to specify the start and end points (thus eliminating the dead region at the end) using the "Mark In/Out" option. Setting either the "In" or "Out" option to anything other than the default values from the original file results in an "Invalid pointer (0x80004003)" error. I'd much appreciate your help on any or all of this. - John |
