Error when trying to do Windows Media Security Upgrade

I just got a new computer and is running WM11. I use Overdrive to download
audio books from my public library. When I went to the WM security upgrade
page ,

http://drmlicense.one.microsoft.com/...en/indivit.asp

the "UPGRADE" button is not active..i.e. I can't "click" on it. WM and
Overdrive worked fine on my old computer and I think I was running WM10.
Anyone with similar problems? Should I downgrade back to WM10?

Thanks,
Miranda

Seems like you do not use IE or/and do not allow scripts, both are
necesary for this operation.

RE: Error when trying to do Windows Media Security Upgrade

I also am having the same kind of problem. I can't believe how lame PC's and
Microsoft and Overdrive Media is. How sad to have to have a public library
use such sick software. And it doesn't run on a Macintosh ( no wonder it is
hard to use!!). Sad, sad, sad, and no one has written a solution yet...
When I try to do the security update, I get "The Parameter is incorrect" -
How stupid is that!!! I am on Media Player 11 and IE7

RE: Error when trying to do Windows Media Security Upgrade

This is a bug in Internet Explorer 7. Download IE6 and it will work.

Thank you for this insight. Now, will Microsoft allow you to have both IE6
and IE7 Installed.
and, who should one point fingers to for this problem?
But I do feel sorry for the Public Library system.
Also, if Apple's FreePlay AAC .M4P DRM allowed time stamp/time limited
protection, then the Library could use a better system than Microsoft's

Re: Error when trying to do Windows Media Security Upgrade

The only thing you have to do is click on the top of the page where appears
a yellow dialog asking you to install a component.

You install it, and then you will be able to click the upgrade button!

See you!!
