R2 DFS Crashing my server
Hello. I have 4 R2 DFS servers setup to replicate about 600GB of information.
One of the servers is a windows 2003 Enterprise Ed R2 server and the rest are just Win2k3 R2. The Enterprise server just started hanging frequently when dfsr is enabled only. At the same time the problem started happening, Event ID 6002 started appearing in the eventlog. Event Type: Error Event Source: DFSR Event Category: None Event ID: 6002 Date: 6/5/2007 Time: 9:45:48 AM User: N/A Computer: %computername% Description: The DFS Replication service detected invalid msDFSR-Subscriber object data while polling for configuration information. I found a newsgroup article by Ned Pyle that suggested using ADSI Edit to see if the referenced msDFSR-Subscriber object has a msDFSR-MemberReference DN. In my case, there is no msDFSR-MemberReference for the subscriber object. So my question is: How to I fix this? Can I just delete the subscriber object that is showing up in the eventlog? |
