DNS mail balancing with MX
Dear people and Chris, I have a mail domain "alejandro.com" supported by two own mail
servers (load balacing): 10.1.1.1 and 10.1.1.2. Can I perform a mail balancing implemented by MX registries in the DNS as follow: mail1.alejandro.com. IN A 10.1.1.1 mail2.alejandro.com. IN A 10.1.1.2 alejandro.com. IN MX 10 mail1.alejandro.com. alejandro.com. IN MX 10 mail2.alejandro.com. I put the same weight (=10) to both MX's in order to balance the incoming mails. Is it correct ??? Thanks !!! Alejandro |

Re: DNS mail balancing with MX
Copied to both, but yes that will work fine for inbound mail using the MX for delivery. -- Chris Dent MVP - Directory Services "Alejandro" <.ar> wrote in message news:.ar... > Dear people and Chris, I have a mail domain "alejandro.com" supported by > two own mail servers (load balacing): 10.1.1.1 and 10.1.1.2. > > Can I perform a mail balancing implemented by MX registries in the DNS as > follow: > > mail1.alejandro.com.
