can't release ip

Hey Guys, Having the exact same problem. Tried the above but no joy.
Any other suggestions. I've tried everything else thats been mentioned
in the thread but to no avail. Really wish I'd never bothered with
Vista!!

i did that and it said a reboot was required so i rebooted and still nothing

And you were definitely able to connect from your school and browse
the Internet?

The only thing that has not been tried is forcing the adapter to 100
megs as opposed to autosense. Can you tell me the exact model of
your Motorola modem.
