Intel VIIV Problems

Is anyone having this problem. Whenever I open a folder that uses
thumbnails, I get multiple windows errors that say rundll has stopped
working. When I check the help section, I get something about Intel ViiV
needing a patch. Everytime I try to install it, it says I need a Intel ViiV
capable computer. I've tried installing patches and updates from HP,
Alienware, and Intel and none of them work. Anyone been able to figure this
one out?

RE: Intel VIIV Problems

I have the same problem and HP support cant give a sollution. I searched and
found a sollution.
go to this site: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/installed_codec.html
download and start Installedcodec.
search for three codecs named:
Ligos MPEG audio decoder
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, splitter
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Video decoder

disable them and your problem is over.
and everything still works fine.
suc6 and let me now if it works for you and others too ......
