I was trying to use a utility to make a raid driver install disk on a floppy
and got this error. What does it mean?

after having to deal with this same issue making a dfi floppy bios, I
found an answer.

-when you load up the WinImage file (the exe for creating disk image)
make sure you run it without having a floppy in the drive.
- it will search, and come back with floppy not found
- now insert the floppy disk, and click retry

and voila, it writes the image to the disk!!!!

This solution does not work all the time. You sometimes have to try it 2
or 3 times, but it's a workaround until a more permanent solution comes
through!

That could be a long wait - methinks the demand to troubleshoot floppy
related quirks/issues died out years ago...
