Windows error N.5 access denied
I was trying to use a utility to make a raid driver install disk on a floppy
and got this error. What does it mean? |

Re: Windows error N.5 access denied
after having to deal with this same issue making a dfi floppy bios, I found an answer. -when you load up the WinImage file (the exe for creating disk image) make sure you run it without having a floppy in the drive. - it will search, and come back with floppy not found - now insert the floppy disk, and click retry and voila, it writes the image to the disk!!!! -- mean6 |

This solution does not work all the time. You sometimes have to try it 2 or 3 times, but it's a workaround until a more permanent solution comes through! -- DiamondDog |

That could be a long wait - methinks the demand to troubleshoot floppy related quirks/issues died out years ago... -- C64Threepwood |

Thanks, worked great for me. Been having this problem for a while. I love vista, but... every once in a while... -- chive |
